A Great Unknown Way to Use Those Unwanted Gift Cards!

It's Wacky Wednesday! I apologize for this one being not-so-wacky, but it is a way to make money off what you have and is not very well known.

A lot of us probably have some Gift Cards lying around that we never got around to using, or just don't like the company they're for. Those don't have to go to waste, you can cash them in (unfortunately not at 100% rate, but usually for an acceptable amount)! For example, a $20 Walmart could cash out for $18 if you mail via post or $17 if you submit online. However, a $50 gift card in other stores could cash as low as $30, so you should watch out on how much you're losing. Some good websites include CardCash, Cardpool, or Giftcards

This is very straightforward and I apologize also for it being so short; in the future I hope to make bigger lists rather than just a single idea like this. I'll go into detail in how it works, but I'll make it quick and simple. You have two options: Mail the card or submit online. Online submissions always pay less, as I have seen, and often require more confirmation for payment. It is a little faster and shouldn't be a problem is you're okay with submitting information. Mailing takes longer, but pays more, in a $20 gift card can make a $1 difference. Less confirmation is needed, and it's really not much harder. It's your choice in the end, and it is a nice yet not very well known way to make money from your unwanted gift cards!

As always, thank you for reading and I hope you share this with your friends so they can make more money in their everyday lives!

  1. I'm in the UK. I remember some time ago in 2002 unspent vouchers was a hot topic. People were finding they were out of date, having a year's deadline to use them. Not sure if that's an issue in certain American department stores, or if it was more of a concern here.

People love vouchers but also moan they have to afford to put to it and often have £10 lying around.

I wonder what Amazon think. Amazon is such a popular site for giving gift cards, and also rewards for some online extra money schemes.

    1. I mean, people use gift cards, and often scramble to use up what's in them if they're nearing expiration date, but you can also cash it in relatively easily. I don't think it's a massive issue or anything in the US.
